At Kosamada, District Gujarat, Govt. of Gujarat, Department of Fisheries has it's Indian major Carp Seed production center. On 14.07.2006 we kept 61.5 kg female Catla breeds and 70.0 kg male in breeding Pond with injecting ovaprium 6.5 ml/kg to female & 0.1 ml to male respectively.

In the same breeding pond we had also kept "Vardhman Electronics Fish Grower" at 19:00 hr. Very next day we observed 48.60 Lakhs total no. of eggs, out of which 46.17% fertility in eggs observed. We shifted all fertile eggs in insulator at 8:00 on date 15-07-2006 at 13:00 hr out of fertilised eggs hatching started. It is repeated that in normal Generally hutching starts at 17:00 hrs of next day after injection. But in this set we observed early hutching procedure and all the hatching looks healthy.
